There are two easy ways to become a member of the IIDA. Either join online or fill out a paper form and mail it in.

For more than 10 years, the International Interior Design Association has been working to promote Interior Design through the excellence and knowledge of our Members. We strive to advance our profession, while also cultivating diverse leadership and advocating for exceptional design.
IIDA has more than 12,000 members in nine specialty Forums in 30 Chapters around the world committed to enhancing the quality of life through excellence in interior design and advancing interior design through knowledge. By becoming a Member you are making the decision to be an informed member of the design community.
CHOOSE A MEMBERSHIP
Professional: If you are an Interior Designer and have passed the NCIDQ exam, you qualify as a Professional Member.
Associate: If you are an Interior Designer with a minimum of 2 years of formal Interior Design education, and are not NCIDQ-certified, you qualify as an Associate Member.
Affiliate: If you are actively engaged in a field other than Interior Design such as landscape architecture, lighting design, etc., you can join IIDA as an Affiliate Member.
Professional: If you are an Architect and have passed the ARE exam, and are actively involved in the Interior Design profession, you qualify as a Professional Member.
If you are a current full-time faculty or adjunct profession in an Interior Design program, with a minimum of 2 years of formal Interior Design education, you can join IIDA as an Educator Member.
If you are enrolled in an Interior Design or Architecture program, you qualify as a Student Member.
If you are an active Interior Designer located outside of an area covered by an IIDA chapter, you can apply as an International At-Large Member.
Companies joining as an Industry Member are allowed 3 to 30 Industry Representatives as part of their membership, giving you further access to different chapters around the world.
