CIDR Golf Outing 2012

August 10th held the 16th Annual Coalition for Interior Design Registration (CIDR) Golf Outing at the beautiful Majestic golf course at Lake Walden http://www.majesticgolf.com . With the sunshine on our side and the largest turn out yet, Designers, Partners, Reps and Friends (including one of CIDR's long time and newly returning board members, Dr. Marilyn Whitney) were able to raise funds for the Coalition. We were overwhelmed with the level of support we received this year, reaching one of our largest contribution goals to date! If you were one of the lucky ones to join us for the festivities that day you saw everything from costumes and ice cream to crazy picture poses on the course! The momentum of the day kicked up a notch after golf concluded when the awards and raffle prizes were handed out during dinner. Some of the top prizes included: a Margarita machine, beach chair and umbrella, donated by Fashion Wallcoverings, a 42" flat screen TV donated by Facility Matrix Group, a Kruig coffee maker donated by Contract Options and an iPad 2 donated by Allsteel and Gunlocke!!!

Many of you inquired about the Coalition at the outing and since then. CIDR is an organization dedicated to defend and protect the right to practice the profession of interior design in Michigan. It’s a group of interior designers and allied professionals dedicated to enacting legislation to protect the life-safety of the public and promote free and fair competitive access to the marketplace.
