LEED Study Group
Getting Started with a LEED Accreditation
You are invited to participate in Teknion's Teleconference series of coaching classes for those interested in passing the LEED CI Accreditation exam. JPRA Architects has generously offered their new LEED Silver Certified Building as the host site for call in sessions. The conference calls are accessed from groups around the world, approximately 1000+ people will be on the teleconference calls at the same time. We have been lucky enough, again, to be able to secure one call in line for all of Michigan.
Eight conference calls are offered by Teknion, beginning Tuesday July 15 and every Tuedsay thereafter until September 9, skipping September 2. The calls begin promptly at 11 AM and will last for approximately one hour.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1) Attached is a Teknion Studying Guide. Read it! Now! It contains a number of additions since the previous version and tells you EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW.
2) Do we order the LEED CI Reference Guide through Teknion? No. You must order the LEED CI Reference Guide from the USGBC. Order the reference guide now! It may take a week or two or three to get to you!
3) What do you cover in the course material? Everything you need to know to pass. But not like a teacher - more like a personal trainer. We show you what you need to learn, but you need to do the learning! And we send you all the materials you need or links to them - except the Reference Guide.
4) Is there a charge for the course? No. Not by Teknion. There is a charge for the Reference Guide and for the exam. See the USGBC web sites as appropriate.
5) Can we take the test at any time or are there pre-scheduled classes? You can schedule your exam at any time. IT IS STRONGLY ADVISED that everyone who intends to pass the exam set the date at the outset of the course and schedule it within one or two weeks of the last class.
6) Materials and Costs: each participant will require a copy of the LED-CI Reference Guide that can be obtained from USGBC and will need to register to write the exam with the USGBC. Access the USGBC web site to purchase your LEED-CI Reference Guide.
